COVID-19 Business Update

Update – 05/01/2021

In line with Government guidance, we will continue business as usual from Wednesday 6th January during the third national lockdown. Unless you hear from us, your appointment will be going ahead.

The latest Government updates confirm that tradesmen are allowed to enter customer’s homes during the national lockdown. However, if any customer doesn’t feel comfortable with us visiting their property during the lockdown period please contact us to cancel at your earliest convenience. If you are experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms listed on the Government website, you must make us aware so that we can re-schedule your appointment.

Here are just some of the measures we are putting in place to ensure that you’re as safe as possible.

  • During appointments, our fitters will maintain a 2 metre gap from the customer.
  • All of our fitters will wear gloves, masks and overshoes while in a customer’s home.
  • We have bought hand sanitisers and wipes for all of our fitters’ vehicles, meaning surfaces can be wiped down and hygiene levels maintained.

Here are a couple of things that we ask of you, the customer:

  • Please avoid cash deposit and balance payments when possible
  • During the lockdown, the office will be closed on Saturdays and are operating on 50% capacity in the office at any one time, thus it might take us slightly longer to reply to enquiries.

The Government website confirms trades are able to enter peoples properties to carry out work. However if any customer doesn’t feel comfortable with us visiting their property during the lockdown period please contact us to cancel at your earliest convenience. If you are experiencing any of the COVID symptoms listed on the Government website, you must make us aware so that we can re-schedule your appointment.

As you can imagine, our customer services team is very busy at the moment. Please do not call us to check on the status of your appointment or installation. Unless you hear from us, your appointment will be going ahead. We will be using our Facebook page and website regularly to update all of our customers with any further updates.

Update – 18/05/2020

The Fraser James Blinds team are excited to be getting back to providing our customers with top-quality blinds, but given that the health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, we’re going to be taking every precaution available.

Here are just some of the measures we are putting in place to ensure that you’re as safe as possible.

  • During appointments, our fitters will maintain a 2 metre gap from the customer.
  • All of our fitters will wear gloves, masks and overshoes while in a customer’s home.
  • We have bought hand sanitisers and wipes for all of our fitters’ vehicles, meaning surfaces can be wiped down and hygiene levels maintained.
  • Our fitters will not touch anything in your home unless it’s absolutely necessary to.

Here are a couple of things that we ask of you, the customer:

  • Please, where possible, respect the 2 metre gap between you and our fitter.
  • Please remove anything on window sills and, if possible, move any furniture that restricts access to windows. This will make things a lot easier for our fitters and avoid them having to touch anything unnecessarily.

Given that these are unprecedented times, if there is any adjustment to our service that you would like us to make in order to make you feel more comfortable, then we would be happy to help, where possible.
